Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 28:19

Who We Are

Calvary Church is Full Gospel and Charismatic in both doctrine and practice, an English-speaking international church, and is affiliated with Praise Chapel of California.

Calvary Church was pioneered in February 1989 by Pastors John & Pam McGovern through street outreaches and a lot of hard work.

In September 2004, Pastors John & Pam McGovern appointed and installed Pastors John & Valerie Malcolm as the lead pastors of Calvary Church Hong Kong.

Calvary is multi-national, multi-cultural, family of believers in Jesus Christ and we are dedicated to the mission of: winning the lost, discipleship through training, equipping and planting churches and workers into all nations in our generation.

God has richly blessed us, and currently membership is diverse, over 20 nationalities and counting! At least 50 more have passed through our doors at one time or another. (And hopefully, been blessed in the process!).

We would love for you to join us in worshipping God. There are many different services and meetings, each designed to fit different cultures, ages and personalities. See the Services section to find one that suits you!

Calvary Church strives to win souls to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, effectively disciple these souls and see them released into the destinies, callings and giftings in God.

Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

To establish a global network of churches based upon the dynamics of the five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12); and to see people inspired and motivated to evangelize all nations in our generation. This will be achieved through the paradigm of a vibrant, stable, local church community that functions in the following critical factors: praise and worship, prayer, evangelism, education, and giving.
